When The Rain Comes

We once went for a summers walk through our local forest and started to hike the long climb to the top of the beautiful hills, excited for the views that awaited us.

We were about 2 minutes from the peak, when the heavens opened and down poured the rain. We immediately noticed everyone around us run for cover. We however looked at each other and smiled, in that smile we knew that our adventurous spirit had come alive.

We continued to hike through the storm in our shorts and t-shirts and danced on the mountain top, kissing in the rain. We learned so much about ourselves that day, and so much about our outlook on life. We'd like to share with you what touched our hearts that day:

When The Rain Comes

If you go for a mountain walk in the sun and suddenly there's a storm, accept it.

Cherish the moment to dance in the rain.

Be grateful that God has sent the rain to give life to the world.

Marvel in how brilliant Gods design is, that everything is one, depending on each other and thriving from each other.

Rejoice in how alive you feel, enjoy all your senses in the midst of the rain and be thankful you are able to.

Relish in the freedom of adventure and continue climbing towards the clouds.

Feel the exhilaration, the energy running through you, the excitement of a new experience.

Be thankful for the opportunity to step out your comfort zone and push your limits.

Realise how blessed you are to laugh with your loved one.

Take the time to be present in the moment, meditate on the spiritual awakening you are being given.

Enjoy the chance to repel the norm, expectations and social constructs. Don't run and hide from the rain. Don't worry about your hair. Don't impatiently wait for it to end. Live.

Realise the lesson you are being given, accept the rain and use the moment to work on your self.
